Did you know there is a Third Sector Strategy Group for Aberdeenshire?

KDP Chair the TSSG on behalf of the Aberdeenshire Rural Partnership Federation. The TSSG is a gateway between the Third Sector and the Local Authority with the aim of ensuring that the Third Sector form part of the discussion at the start of the development of policies which affect the Third Sector and Communities rather than merely being the consultee at the end of the process. This way there is more opportunity to co-produce these ideas. Currently, the group is a partnership between Aberdeenshire Council, The Third Sector Interface ( Aberdeenshire Voluntary Action) and the Aberdeenshire Rural Partnership Federation which has representation from all six Rural Partnerships. The group has recently produced their Strategy Document for the next three years. A copy of this can be downloaded below. For more information about Aberdeenshire's Third Sector Strategy Group please contact Jacky Niven at

Could Your Group Use £300?

Our Next Community Cash Event coming to a community near you!

Kincardineshire Development Partnership have been offering local community groups the chance of up to £300 micro grant to support their group or project since 2016. With a difference… The community decides which group or project will receive the grant.

There have been many events held across Kincardine and Mearns where local community groups are invited to come along to give a five-minute talk about their goals, what they are trying to achieve and why they need to the grant to further their idea or project. One grant is awarded to the group voted for by the guests of the evening who are members of the local community.

This exercise in real-time democracy has been a great opportunity for groups to raise an on the spot funds to support their group and the local community. In addition, it has proven to be an excellent way for groups and individual to learn about and make links with their communities, which has been a particular positive outcome of these events.

If your group or organisation could use £300 look out for news of our next event here or in our weekly Bulletin.

KDP is happy to continue to run some information sessions in 2019, and we are also happy to consider one-to-one support.  If this is of interest to your group or organisation please contact the KDP office at
